There is no way anyone can dispute the importance of driver education. Driver education allows for those who are new to driving a basic understanding of this whole unknown world they are entering not everyone is as talented at driving when they are first starting. Driver’s Ed has prevented many people from death as it trains them in stressful situations what to do, personally, I believe that there need to be more strenuous situations in Driver’s Ed that make the person actually feel what it’s like to be in a scary and stressful situation so that they are more mentally prepared. I also feel that there should be tests often to see if someone is using a substance more often than not, though it is practically impossible to do this I feel that it would allow most people to drive safely as it would eliminate some of the threats that come with driving under the influence of any substance. I have many family members and friends that I know or they know that have been in a car accident now many of these accidents could have been prevented if the people behind the wheel were not more focused on something else that was going on around them either their phone or something else. My father and brother were in an accident they got rear-ended at a light because the person behind them wasn’t paying attention and pressed on the gas and slammed into the rear of them. All of this could have been prevented if the person behind them actually paid attention to what they were doing. Because of people feigning ignorance on the situation, many people are hurt and this continuous occurrence will not stop at anything until we bring the subject to like, and it is heavily discussed among the higher-ups of this country. The higher-ups need to enforce stricter rules on driving and make it mandatory to take longer courses of Driver’s Ed with more intricate processes rather than trying to push driver through it. I believe that Driver’s Ed needs to be a much more delicate process where they are actually caring about what you do, cause as I see it right now there is no system where they actually care what you learn it’s a lot like a system where they just want to get you through it so it’ll be done and they can get more people in on that time slot. My teacher who was teaching about Driver’s Ed always take the defensive driving technique as it will help you be safer and help others around you be safer most importantly focus on you first and always make sure to remember what you are taught, as most people tend to forget what they are taught if they are mentally able to take action and work under overly stressful situations. I believe there should be a much more delicate process and that people need to be more aware.
