Drivers Education and it’s Importance

There are numerous people that get distracted while driving and many people don’t know that they’re getting distracted. For example, when a person receives a text, they automatically read the text, but that person took eyes off of the rad for ten seconds and in those ten seconds, anything could’ve have happened. Like, getting into a car accident, harming someone, harming yourself, and many more. This is already getting closer to a car accident. The three ways that people get distracted is by visual, manual, and cognitive. These three ways of distracted driving can harm someone’s’ life. To illustrate, “Each day in the United States, approximately 9 people are killed and more than 1,000 injured in crashes that are reported to involve a distracted driver”(CDC.org).

The importance of driver education in reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving because you get the tips and tricks on how to drive safely. According to The National Safety Council, 2,841 people died in distracted driving. Drivers ED is a helpful tool to learn about the importance of the causes and effects of driving. For example, in the driver’s ED its states that many people think they can multitask while driving. However at this point, it seems like everyone will say yes, but when they were going through different pictures all at once in the video, it turns out that we can’t multitask while driving. So it is important to learn that they are helpful tools they can make you’re driving success.

To commence, I pledge not to text and drive because of all the risk of getting into a car accident. There are numerous people that text and drive don’t realize that in one second there’s a person in front of their car. It’s about a matter of life and death for that person. Having an accident can injure you and the person. It is going to ruin your life because you will have to face regret every day that I texted and drove. Being human and saving someone’s life. I plan to be focused when I’m driving to college. I will not let other people in my car distract me from doing an incident. I will not listen , if they say to watch this one video or any other material that will take my eyes off from the road. Some ways people can ensure that they will not get into an accident is by not eating or drinking, not using your phone while driving, and the most important thing is not to multitask. Most people think that they can do something and also be driving, however, that is not true.

In addition, I saw my friends getting into a car accident by being irresponsible. They were simply having a chill day all of them decided to text while driving to the mall. In matters of seconds, someone else’s life was taken and was sent to the hospital. Luckily, that person was saved but that person wouldn’t be in the hospital if my friend never texted anyone. Therefore, never text and drive because it can influence someone’s lives.

In conclusion, some ways to help others to not text and drive is give clear instructions, lead by example, become an active member, and inform them about the state laws. By following these clear instructions, One can reduce the risk of driving and can prevent an accident from happening. Therefore, texting and driving will lead to accidents, however, there is some solution that can prevent people from texting and driving, like not playing on your phone, not eating and drinking, and be focused.

I pledge not to text and drive because of the risk of getting in a car accident, getting injured, and possibly taking someone’s life.
