Driving is a job that should not be taken at ease and being educated on it is fundamental to prevent severe accidents and even the death of the driver and the ones around. The Drivers Education program serves to educate anyone who is new on this task. Most of the people taking this course are teenagers who are learning how to drive and all the rules and consequences that come with it. A Drivers Ed course teaches new drivers how to behave on the road, the signals and how to deal with certain situations, however it also makes teenegers aware of how cautious they should be while driving because not only the driver’s life is at risk, but everyone else’s that is around as well.
Driving around with friends can be fun, but everything can take an ugly turn in just a second. That is all it takes, just one second and the life of people can be put at risk. This is the reason teenagers should be fully educated on this matter. It is very important to make people aware of how detrimental it can be to look at their phones while driving even if it is for one second.
Let’s not play with our luck and be careful while driving. I had a friend who would always drive recklessly, she would speed and look at her phone while driving. I tried to tell her to stop so many times but she would never listen until we almost crashed. I avoided letting her drive by always offering to drive in my car and I constantly reminded her of the risks of what she was doing. She was putting at risk all of our lives.
When it comes to driving I always try to remember that everyone out there has a family and is going through something so I can’t just be driving recklessly if I know that I am going to risk someone else’s life. I would not like to have that guilt and weigh on my shoulders. Being comfortable with the car that you are driving is also very important as well as knowing the conditions of it.
Being a new driver is exciting, I know the feeling because I am still one, therefore I have to be aware of the consequences too and I like to inform other new drivers about them as well. We all deserve to feel safe while driving so let’s do our part on it. We shall remember that it only takes one second for our lives to be put at risk.
