The Importance of Life on the Roads

Driver education is important because it can reduce the number of deaths by taking in the real knowledge of driving, but it’s more than that. Humans have been driving for ages. As soon as the first automobile was invented in 1885, it was known that the invention would be successful and would spread fast. From different models, to how fast they go, this needed invention would soon become a weapon of destruction. Driving is nothing to play with and as more people learn to drive, it is important that they embrace that lives can be taken on the road. Driver education is important because it puts out awareness for others. If more people were aware and acknowledged the many deaths on the road than the numbers of deaths wouldn’t be high. Drivers should treasure the education of driving because it impacts lives.

To reduce the number of deaths on the road, it is so important we pay attention and stop the usage of our phones. Personally, when I’m driving I look at other people and I see most on their phones. The invention of telephones may have been a radiant success, but it has become our downfall as well. I have seen family members drive while being on their phones. I wonder to myself how they are paying attention to that screen when something bigger is in front of them. When people drive, it isn’t just others in the car that their life is in their hands, but it is also everyone around them. Thankfully, I haven’t been in an accident, but I have seen an accident in front of my eyes. It was a terrible sight. Phones aren’t just a problem, but also drinking and other substances. It’s okay to have fun, but when a person has had too much to drink, they should take in consideration that it would not be best for them to drive. They not only put their life in danger, but others as well. And sometimes others more than themselves. Another way to reduce deaths is not to be in a hurry all the time. If a person leaves on time, then they won’t have to speed past everyone.

To be a better and safer driver, we all should put our phones away and think about what we’re consuming and if it’s safe to drive. Encourage people if they are going to have a drink to have another person with them to drive them back home. A life is more important than a beverage or a phone. Leave early to avoid being late. We only have one life and it’s so sad that many people die in the hands of others who are careless drivers. The roads can be dangerous, but it’s up to everyone who turns on their engine to think, my life and others are more important than materialistic items.
