What is the importance of driver education in reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving?

The importance of drivers ed is to teach teens about what to do and what not to do , that can also help with the number of deaths related to car crashes . 5,864 teen drivers ages 15-20 were involved in fatal car accidents.

Young drivers between 15- and 20-years-old accounted for 6.4% (13.2 million) of total drivers on the road. An average of nine teens ages 16-19 were killed every day from motor vehicle injuries. 2,739 drivers ages 15-20 were killed and an additional 228,000 were injured in crashes. A total of 4,054 teens between the ages of 13-19 died in car accidents. 81% of teens killed in car accidents were passengers. 63% of teenage passenger deaths occurred in vehicles driven by another teenager. 12% of all drivers involved in fatal accidents were between the ages of 15 and 20. 14% of all drivers involved in police-reported crashes were young drivers. 36.9% of people killed in young driver crashes were the young drivers themselves .31.4% were passengers of young drivers. 25% of drivers ages 15 to 20 who died in car crashes had a BAC of 0.08 or higher. 63% of young drunk drivers involved in fatal crashes weren’t wearing seat belts. Almost 3 out of every 4 teen drivers killed in car crashes after drinking and driving weren’t wearing a seat belt.

What steps can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving?

The steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths is to take drivers ed , where you will learn different signals and that you should not drink and drive of drive under the influence , you can also reduce the number of deaths by having common sense, like following street signs and not doing dumb things like burnouts and driving faster than your supposed to . you can also reduce the number of deaths by not having your phone on while driving or not texting . Always have your passengers buckle up as well as you . allow a safe stopping distance between you and another car.

Have you ever had an experience of being in a car accident or have seen your friends or family members driving irresponsibly?

I have never been in a car crash but i have been in an racing accident and i was the one driving to fast in the go cart and not slowing down for the corner

What steps can you take to be a better and safer driver as well as help others become safer on the road?

The steps that i can take are to do the speed limit and drive repectfully and not dumb , i can also drive 10 and 2 also i can obay the law , how can I help someone esle be a better driver , I can not talk to them while they are driving , be repectful and help them look for cars when crossing a street
