Driver’s Education

Driver’s education is incredibly important for both new drivers as well as seasoned drivers. It provides one with the knowledge they need to exhibit safety on the road, what to avoid before even getting in the car, and information for if something were to go wrong while on the road. I believe if more people were educated through driver’s education, the amount of fatalities due to automobiles would decrease drastically.

Driver’s Ed provided me with the tools and knowledge that I needed to hit the road. It taught me what certain road signs meant, what road markings were, and how to operate a vehicle. It was also very important that we knew the dangers of alcohol and drugs and their effect on the driver. It is never a good idea to drive yourself or with others under the influence. Driver’s Education also taught important skills for if something were to happen, such as changing a flat tire and what to do in the case of an accident.

All in all, if more people took Driver’s Education, lives would be saved. More people would know a lot more about the roads and safety, so naturally, deaths would go down. I think if Driver’s Ed was made a mandatory pre – requisite to getting a license, the roads would be a lot safer than they are now.
