Drivers Ed

Since its introduction, driving has been one of the main ways to travel from place to place. It is fast, reliable, and is viewed by many people as one of the necessary life skills someone should have, even if technology is eventually taking the wheel at some point. While driving is important it is also dangerous. An uneducated person behind the wheel or simply someone who drives irresponsibly makes driving a hazard. The uneducated who start to drive must know about the factors that can cause driving to be so dangerous and what can keep them safe so that they are prepared for any situation and keep themselves as well as everyone safe. I personally have experienced being within a collision and have witnessed others outside of the event. I was involved in a collision where a car rear ended another car behind us, although we did not experience the full impact the situation was frightening by itself and unexpected. Everyone was safe besides a slight amount of neck strain. That is just an example though of many others that have occurred. Over 6 million collisions have occurred in the U.S. in a year and tens of thousands have resulted in death that compare to some very well known wars. Deaths like this should not occur so often. Consideration needs to be taken when it comes to knowledge on the road. Everyone should be taught the same amount about their car, and more details as to what to do in certain situations. While there are advances in sensors for cars, the people themselves should be knowledgeable. Taking precautions to stop people from getting an injury or dying in car accidents prevent disruptions in the economy and the daily lives of people. Knowing what such accidents can do to their own and others lives can urge them to be better prepared for whats to come on the road, because its not always a joy-ride. To prevent accidents, the community must always be taught the precautions when driving as well as the mindset. The uneducated make the worst decisions when on the road. They might get cocky. Driving is almost like a sport and must be taught enough to where every action is muscle memory. When being taught to drive, remove all distractions and place all centers of attention on the road. Make the learner feel like this is something they must engrave. Do not let them temp themselves with their devices whilst in the car.
