Dangers of Driving: The Importance of Driver’s Education

Driver’s education has been proved to save young drivers money in the long run, and it provides attendees with the skills and knowledge to be a safe driver on the roads. Its importance is that driver education teaches all people how the road works to be comfortable and safe while driving. Drivers education covers every driving and road-related topic to educate the young and inexperienced adolescents who are unaware of the dangers and liabilities that come with driving. Many drivers, new or experienced, don’t know the possible accidents and mistakes made by driving. Drivers education ensures that all attendees are fully aware of all the potential road incidents that can be made. It also teaches ways to avoid accidents, especially in relation to being intoxicated, in order to reduce deaths and accidents while driving.

Surprisingly, not all states require that people take some form of driver’s education. Drivers’ education may seem unnecessary, but statistically, the crash rate from young drivers with and without a driver’s education course is higher without drivers’ education. To reduce the number of deaths related to driving, I think that all states should require lengthy driver education courses, multiple passing driving tests that cover all types of parking, driving, and incidents, and have new drivers submit a lot of road experience hours to prove to the state that they deserve to be on the road. Though this may seem very tedious, I think that these steps must be taken to ensure that all drivers on the road are well-prepared and aware of anything that could go wrong while driving. If people cannot complete tasks as stated above, there is no reason that the state should trust them to drive. Without completing these tasks, it isn’t clear that these individuals are well-able to drive and are fully educated on driving dangers. Also, more advertisements would inform drivers on massive interstates and roadways about the risks of driving and reminders of things to avoid while driving. I have often found signs on the road to be very helpful, and I think they would reduce driving accidents. Sharing individual’s experiences and stories, good or bad, while driving helps all people see the vast dangers and advantages of driving a motor vehicle.

The steps that can be taken for me and other drivers, new or experienced, to be a better and safer driver would be to become more educated with drivers and the challenges and the safety precautions that come with it. Becoming more educated with how the road works will make drivers more comfortable and more precautious while driving, lower driving incidents altogether. My driver’s education experience was very positive and educational. It has improved my driving skills and reactions for me to enjoy the beauties of driving a vehicle independently. Luckily I haven’t personally experienced a car accident, but my friends and family have, and it has taught me valuable lessons to avoid accidents. One of my closest friends got distracted by her surroundings while driving by the ocean, and she rear-ended the vehicle in front of her, totaling her and the other driver’s car. Luckily both drivers weren’t hurt in this accident, but the trauma it gave my friend has left her afraid to drive to this day.

Unfortunately in our very modern and widely educated age, it is still very likely to be in a driving accident. I think that we all must work together to lower these chances and make our roadways safer for all people. It is possible to lower accident rates and make roadways safe but only if all people are fully educated on driving. Drivers education has proved to be helpful so I believe that regulating this learning course will ensure that all drivers are prepared for driving.
