Drivers Education
When I first started driving my dad told me that driving is “a privilege not a right”. I think we often take driving for granted considering how easy it is to do once you start. Especially when people forget that saying. The absence of driver’s education is so dangerous for driving on the road because it’s no longer just you and your driver eds teacher but it’s you and thousands of other lives who are at risk. Ensuring that all drivers have a drivers education means that society is a lot safer after because those with a driver’s education know how easy, quick, and dangerous driving can be which is why they not only more likely to abide by the rules of the road but are also more cautious of themselves and the ones around them. It’s impossible to do anything while driving because driving should completely be the only task at hand however steps that can be taken before to ensure that number of deaths are reduced is some type of class drivers can take to practice how to control their emotions and patient and communication skills. These preventive measures ensure drivers would be more equipped to handle the situations if they are faced with it. Although I’m lucky enough to not know anyone personally who has lost their lives in an accident, I do know an incredible amount of people who have been involved in minor crashes that may or may not have been the results of their irresponsibilities. I was taught that there is only so much you can control when you’re driving and the majority of the time it’s you, the car your driving, and those in the car. Steps that I myself take every time that I’m driving or driving with someone else is doing whatever I can to make sure that the driver is doing it’s one job: that’s driving. So whether it’s controlling the music, putting in the address, keeping the driver calm or more IMPORTANTLY telling the driver to put down the phone or going another step further and taking the phone away from them until we have reached the destination. Like I said before there’s only so much you can do while driving or driving with someone else and all the things I listed are very well in the control of all of us. Another thing that all drivers can practice is defensive driving something we were all taught to do. The road is not a place for anything other than driving so when I say practice defensive driving that means doing your part to stay safe and not control of whatever situation you happen to be in but take control of what you can control: yourself and your vehicle. If others might be upset at your speed or just lack patience, they’re responsible for whatever choice they make but defender drivers are more interested in being safe and taking the necessary precautions to keep everyone else safe.
