The importance of driver’s education in reducing the number deaths because of driving is… if you do not educate drivers; how will they know what is right and what is wrong? It is especially important to educate drivers so they what to do and what not to do. Think about it this way, you have a friend that is never taking drivers ed before and your friend wants to go driving somewhere. Would you let the friend drive you somewhere? Without driver’s education? Would trust that your friend would not crash into another car or anything else? Drunk driving can get you DWI (Driving While Intoxicated) charge! Three D.W.I leads to felony charge.

Scary thought huh! More people die in car crashes then people that died in all the wars. Even scarier thought, so that is one of the many reasons why we should educate people on the dangers and benefits of driving.

Steps we can take to reduce the number of deaths related to driving is by…

Turning our phones on driving, because a text or a phone call can wait until you get to the desired destination.

Driving sober is another way!

If you are to drink alcohol somewhere, make sure you have a designated driver to take you home.

Try to stay focus on driving.

Wait until you come to a complete stop to change the radio.

If you have kids, you should pull over safely and tend to them.

Theres times I witness an actual car accident. Let us start from the from the beginning, when I was 14 years old my family and I where driving through the city. And suddenly, a driver in the truck next to us was driving fast. The driver next to us had crash into this woman and made the women flip 3 times! And then kept driving until the police caught up with him. His B.A.C levels were high and went to jail that night. And for the women that flipped 3 times, well it did not end for her! My dad went to talk to the people in the ambulance and the paramedics said that she went into an automatic coma. We never found out what happened to her and man after that. To this day I still wonder what happened to those people after that day. How did it change their lives? Did it make their lives better or worse? Did that incident teach them something they will never forget?

You never know what impact you will have on a person’s life. So, drive safely and these safety tips and you should fine.
