Driving 101

Safe driving is something that everyone should do. Too many lives are lost from reckless, careless, and distracted drivers. On average there are 1.35 million people who die in car accidents per year that’s 3,700 deaths per day. Everyone should have their focus on the road while driving. While driving don’t just look out for yourself look out for other driver’s who may be distracted or careless this is a way to avoid an accident. This should go without saying never drive drunk and don’t text and drive.

The accident rate for teens is also high. Since teens are new drivers some may be careless or may not pay attention to the road like adults. Teens who took a driver’s education course usually have a higher grade on their driver’s test and are less likely to get into an accident. Everyone should take a driver’s education course to ensure they know how to drive defensively and know what to do in certain situations.

Finally people and other cars aren’t the only thing you should watch out for. You should watch out for animals who may be crossing the road at night. I will give you a prime example deers. They will just run out in front of you and the rest of the pack will follow. So if you’re driving at night be cautious of deers and other animals that may be crossing the road. You can severely damage your vehicle and it can become totaled.

Safe driving is something everyone should do. Look out for everyone and everything on the road. Practice defensive driving techniques and keep in mind everything mentioned in this essay to make sure that loved one makes it back home safely.
