Drive Carefully

The most deadly driving habit is not drowsiness behind the wheel, nor is it drunk driving. It is not unbuckled seatbelts and it is not speeding. The leading cause of accidents is driver carelessness. Too many drivers get behind the wheel mindlessly coasting through streets and fail to consider potential dangers. To be a better and safer driver, it is imperative to be mindful and careful.

To combat carelessness behind the wheel, drivers’ education should continue to teach safety as well as cautious stories. I, along with every other driver in the world, must come to the understanding that careful operation needs to be consistently achieved. One must be completely focused behind the wheel, which means any distractions such as phones have to be out of sight. Safety precautions such as obeying speed limits, stopping when directed to, using seat belts, understanding road signs, and maneuvering turns attentively must be included in every drive taken. Consistent carefulness is the key to safe roads and many deaths and injuries avoided.
