Drivers education

Drivers education

Without driver’s education we wouldn’t know how many deaths would happen on the road. Since there’s a system telling the citizens about death in driving it gives them the fear of it happening to them or a loved one. It may be harsh to say, but without that fear no one would know the importance of a driver’s education. There are multiple steps for this such as showing young drivers charts of deaths in teenagers for reckless driving or even showing crash sites and the scale of how bad an accident would be. Also, reeducation older citizens and to see if there still able to drive safely. Because no one truly knows what could happen in an accident or the scale it can go to.

I have experienced an accident before; it was one of the most terrifying accidents I have ever been through. With this accident the other driver was very intoxicated on the lane we were on was supposed to be 30 mph, but he was going 80 mph. He notices that I was turning to get into the lane and decided to go even faster. I noticed him to late to instead of swinging my car away I swung it toward him, so he crashes into the back of my car. In the moment I couldn’t focused on anything and ended up having a panic attack. I could barely muster any word to anyone and made the situation worse for me. In the end after getting out of the car and checking how’s everything, thankfully we were both ok and safe. After this day I’ve always preached to my loved ones to never drink and drive and always check your surrounding while driving.

To become a better driver it takes time, because everyone is different some people instantly become amazing drivers, but others become reckless and don’t care what’s happening around them. To become a better driver young teen, need to learn the dangerous situations first before knowing the good in driving. Such as accidents, car malfunctions, or even drunk driving. With this education first they would always know the dangers in the back of their minds. Then learn the good things about driving like traveling so they wouldn’t be scared to hop in the driver’s seat. The next step is the proper driver’s education, in the past I have seen DMV give away license away like it was candy. With that type of educations teens wouldn’t know almost anything about the proper ways to handle how to drive or watch there surrounding while driving. So, the steps we need to take is longer sessions and time to get used to driving. And if the person doesn’t do well, they must reset the course over again.

At the ends of the day what really matters is that everyone knows what they’re doing before getting into the drivers’ seat. Hopefully in the near future citizens realize that these courses are not to waste their time, but it’s to endure their safety as well as the safety of others while driving. With the education that’s happening now for new drivers is excellent, but we always must think what more we can do to improve.
