DO OR DIE!
Over 30,000-50,000 people die annually because of accidents. There are many rules and regulations that have to be knowledgeable and followed in order to attain maximum safety. First thing first, driver education is one of the ways of learning to master driving safety. Driver education shows you the damage done to people who didn’t acknowledge driving safety. The steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths is always wearing be seatbelt, always hold the steering wheel using both hands, and know your surroundings. Surroundings like signs, upcoming cars or warnings, and law enforcement. All these facts are coming from a person who faced such situations. My uncle never had driver classes or any knowledge of driving. He thought driving is so easy that even a baby can do it. On top of that, he never wore a seatbelt. Once, there was a car coming. My uncle did not see that car and kept accelerating. Both cars then collided and my uncle was no more. The cars were badly demolished and burnt down by the fire. This sign showed me that this can happen to me or someone else if they don’t acknowledge the safety of diving.
It’s always important to look behind and side of you before switching lanes. Always be at the speed limit and try to be on the lookout for any pedestrians, two-wheelers, and trucks. Trucks have a big blind spot and stop very slowly, so it’s important to not get close to a truck. Also, always stay at least 20 feet away from the car in front of you. Another rule is to never use your phone or any other distracting item. Many people tend to use their phones to text or call someone. This increases the chances of an accident and makes it risky for anyone. One way of making sure you won’t get distracted is to download a cell phone blocking device or do not disturb sequence on. This will turn off any upcoming calls, messages, or notifications while your driving. When getting out of parking, always look behind to make sure there aren’t any upcoming cars passing by.
It is also important to be more prepared. Bring tools with you in the vehicle, so in case your vehicle breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Every month, always get a vehicle check to make sure that your vehicle runs smoothly. Most importantly, always get a brake check to know if your breaks break easily. Many accidents happen because people don’t check on their vehicle’s conditions and ignore it. Another thing is to know your turn signal. Making the wrong signal will be a risk to you and the driver behind you. Many people do not signal when they turn or they turn on the wrong signal when they switch lanes. This can cause accidents and traffic. Traffic is the top cause of accidents mainly because people go too slow or too fast. Never try to overtake someone because they are too slow.
