The importance of driver education is so needed in our society. Without the knowledge of knowing basic steps like how to stop or go, it can cause severe damage to many people and cause problems like finances, loss of a loved one, and many more. And it’s essential to teach it to the youth of the future, by that I mean teenagers so that they can drive around through different environments or areas without having to put someone’s life in danger. Certain steps that can be taken in order to reduce the number of deaths relating to driving is practice. Before I had to go to drivers education, I was taught at an abandoned location without much traffic in order to get certain steps down of driving fast and driving slow and also learning how to use the car to not only tell me what I doing but also to let others know what I am doing as well. Other steps that can be taken in order to risk the number of deaths is to teach this more to lower the cost of driver ed courses. Say if someone never did the class because of financial reasons, I feel like it’s important to learn it but not having to make it expensive. That way, information can be accessible to anyone who wants to know or needs to know about it.

I myself have never been in a car accident. But I had a family member survive one and it was very devasting for our family to wonder if he would make it or not. The effect left on him now changed him from the man he once was. Not only to his body it also affected his mind as well. It was sad to see for a while but I can’t imagine how stressful and heartbreaking it could have been if he didn’t make it out alive.

To be completely honest, the steps I had to take in order to understand and learn in order to be a better driver, was to pay attention to what I was being taught. I had to listen in order to understand why certain laws and rules were places for certain signs, if I didn’t learn what each sign meant, then I could have caused an accident upon myself or others whether they were in a vehicle or not. But the steps I have to take now and every day in order to be a safe driver is to practice and still pay attention but to my surroundings. When I practice, I had to learn how to take everything that was around me and try to come up with ways to continue driving without nobody getting hurt. Sure multitasking was hard inside the car as I had to learn which gadgets to use but the outside was just as hard. So with practice, it made my fear of having to focus on everything die down as time goes on. But this doesn’t just go for me. As I drive, not only do I have to look out for myself, but I have to look out for others around me as well because either way, one of use can cause another to get hurt or even worse, die.
