Driving Safely:

Drivers education continues to prove its importance by teaching students how to drive safely. Teaching drivers the rules of the road and how to watch out for other drivers are among the most important. Awareness is one of the most crucial aspects of driving. You cannot control others, but you can watch out for them. Driving is a privilege, but many disregards the seriousness of it. A car is a weapon. Many learn this lesson to late. By instilling this in the heads of young drivers, they will become more cautious and take the responsibility of driving more seriously.

Steps taken to reduce deaths include, a proper driver’s education, instilling the idea of driver’s awareness into the driver, and education about substance abuses’ effects on driving. From personal experience, driving in the car with my mother, we got into an accident. This was due to a lack of awareness of the driver (my mother). Be it distracted by a phone, conversation, song, or thought, distracted driving is deadly. By decreasing distractions, you increase awareness and become a safer driver. A proper driver education begins with learning the rules of your states roads and ends with learning how to apply them. Learning in theory doesn’t do as much as learning the application. By learning how to properly read signs, signals, and observe your surroundings actions, you can effectively become a safe driver. Most importantly learning about the effects of driving while under the influence will make you a safer driver. Many people do not realize something as simple as a cough medicine that makes you drowsy messes with your state of awareness. It is crucial to not only inform drivers students of the fatal effects of driving while under the influence of alcohol and drugs, but any substance that interferes with their driving ability. Driving while under the influence is not only deadly for yourself, but for others.

In conclusion education is the most important way to ensure a safe driver. By teaching awareness, how to properly drive, and the effects of driving under the influence, many are able to become safe and effective drivers. This is the best way to shrink the amount of deaths due to automobile accidents.
