This topic is very important, in modern society we have more and more accidents on the road. As more people fill the roads we need to be even more careful on how we drive and not just drive for ourselves but others also to keep us all safe. Many times we can be distracted by everyday life, some type of intoxicating substance, etc: so we must take this into account and focus at all times while driving with the utmost precision. In my home we have a saying “drive like you are taking the drivers test at all times”; when you remember how focused you were taking the drivers test, following all the rules paying attention to everything that is how u should always drive. With that being said many do not actually know all the rules or even get enough practice in before they get their license. Many of the young people I know while they have their permit their parents do not give them all the practice time they need and they could not find a drivers Ed course to sign up for. This I think can be critical to helping reduce deaths and accidents to establish good habits rather than the ones many developed after they barely pass the drivers test. The more people practice the right way to do it the more common it will be for it to be done instead of it just being “the way you are supposed to”. I also believe drivers Ed should be made more available across all 50 states, many states have a widely available amount of courses which are available but others do not. I feel this would help also especially with those people whose parents do not know how to drive or are unwilling to teach them can have a way to learn how to drive the right way. Also this will help them from picking up bad habits from others that drive recklessly. My fiancé’s mother is quite a reckless driver, I thought my fiancé was kidding when she said she never put her phone down. When I first got in the car and we took off I did not notice I put my seat belt on and just rode, but when we almost hit someone I was concerned and I see her on the phone. I watched to see when she would put it down and she did not she just continued playing a game the whole ride. This freaked me out but the idea of almost hitting people and now checking her surroundings was normal for her this is why it is important that everyone at the beginning of their driving career has the fundamentals installed in them. They need to know the importance of safe driving and the risks of driving recklessly, and we have to stop making things sound so far away. We need the to people know that the statistics are a direct correlation to our society. This is what I think should be done to combat rode dangers and deaths.
