Personally, I have been in not been in a car accident but I have witnessed many emotional events from my friends in high school, getting in car crashes, and then having long-lasting emotional or physical effects from those experiences. It is vital to not have any distractions that would keep you from being fully vigilant when driving. It is vital to stay off your phone and keep all distractions at a distance. It is also important to evaluate your driving situation before you start your drive, make sure you know all factors of the weather, if it is raining, snowing or if it is foggy. You should also always make sure you drive with a clear head not when you are angry or in an emotional state. But most of all you should never drive under the influence of any substance. All of these factors are extremely important to be vigilant of when driving, being aware of all of these factors can extremely reduce the risk of getting in an accident.
