Safety measures while driving

Driving education is a program/class that educates one on the safety measure of driving on the road. This is given to reduce accidents by learning road signs and how to approach an emergency that you may cross in your lifetime. One must take this course to obtain a driver’s license or even a learner’s permit. Being educated on what is expected of a driver and to predict what can happen on the road will help drivers reduce accidents. In order for a driver to gain better knowledge is to have a one on one experience of driving in traffic, on the highway, construction on the roads and hills, and even speed bumps. This is where they will use what they have learned and expand on with their thinking.

Being a cool driver is not being a responsible driver. Stay off your phone, avoid distractions, pay attention to road signs and traffic lights. A text message or a phone call can wait. Never rush, take your time, you rather take your time and be late than be on time than rush and risk your life and others as well. Always set your mirrors and fasten your seatbelt before starting the car. Also, make sure your car windows are cleaned, and mirrors, make sure your brakes work, and your steering wheel isn’t slippery. You should always have two hands on the wheel to give you a better grip, this will even prepare you for any distracted drivers. Always use your indicators to help prevent accidents, and also use your hazard lights when needed. Depending on the weather conditions outside you will have to adjust your windshield wipers and mirrors. Always leave a safe following distance at all times, when the weather is bad.

Maintaining the speed limit helps reduce accidents because you are obeying the law. Drinking and driving are prohibited, this is not seen as cool. My family has taught me well in this situation, I have lost many close families that have taken the chance. They took a risk and this took their life. I can only inform you from my own experience and I hope you make the right choice. I have been in a car accident myself however, I was hit from the rear. My parents and I were on the highway and there was a lot of traffic, the person behind was busy on his phone and did not pay attention that we were reducing speed because of traffic. This impact took a negative effect on my family and I. We were injured, my mom’s risk, my dad’s back, and my neck. Please do not drink and drive. Also please take your time no racing, no speeding, drive with a clear mindset not when angry. Stay off your phone, you’re risking your life and others if you’re on the phone while driving.

Always slow down and look for stop signs and other road signs, being aware it is very important when it comes to driving. Be ready for anything on the road, for example, coming to a full stop in a short period of time due to road closures , accidents, and even pedestrians. Driving education is needed before one gets their licence. We all needed to know each road sign before we were allowed to drive. If you feel sleepy, pull over to a rest area, and take a small nap, wash your face, and eat something so you can stay awake and have the energy to drive. When we drive we have to take into consideration that we are risking our lives and everyone else around us, one little mistake and it could be over. We just need to be more careful and take our time.
