SpongeBob’s

I’m going to guess that most of us have watched SpongeBob Squarepants as kids or adults, if you did watch this show the likeliness that you watch SpongeBob’s multiple attempts to pass his driving test at Mrs. Puff boating school are very high. SpongeBob’s poor attempts to pass the test did not only make us laugh as kids, it also showed us the dangers of driving even though we were too young to realize. If we look back at the many times SpongeBob crashed his boat into random objects, buildings, or other boats we can then see the importance of Drivers Education. If we allow people to drive around crashing into everything this would most certainly increase the number of crash related deaths. This behaviour can also encourage unsafe driving practices such as not stopping at traffic lights or driving under the influence which is a big no-no both at the Bikini Bottom and the U.S.A. as well as the rest of the world. lucky for us though we didn’t see SpongeBob kill anyone with his boat!

Educating drivers with proper driving techniques, as well as educating everyone about the dangers of driving under the influence or simply showing them why wearing a seatbelt is important are steps that can be taken to reduce driving related deaths. Each year in the United states around thirty-four thousand people die from something as simple as driving. This should not be taken lightly, and should be a call for prevention. To produce a good driver you must first educate that person, because without having any knowledge of the road that person is only as good as a headless driving chicken.

Personally, being in a car crash is not something I want to relive; Nor do I want to relive the pain I felt from the impact of the two vehicles colliding. I also don’t want to see how everyone else was impacted by the crash, by this I mean that if someone died because I caused an accident this will most certainly weigh heavily in my mind. I remember seeing the driver of the opposite car get out of her damaged vehicle while screaming in agonizing pain, this mentally scarred me. Never will I want to rehear the inhuman screams I heard that day. Lucky for all of us no one died. Sadly though we were left with the trauma and horrible body pains caused by our careless driving actions, which could have been prevented. Being aware of my surroundings and being mentally focused while driving are steps I can take to be a better and safer driver each day. Not only does driving safely keep me alive, it also decreases the chances of a coalition with another vehicle which could hurt another person and even end up badly hurting me. Following the traffic rules when driving reminds us of our responsibility to keep eachother safe, this method helps us visually demonstrate to other drivers how they should be driving everyday and the importance behind it. Aiden Wilson Tozer, who is a christian pastor once said, “The driver on the highway is safe not when he reads the signs, but when he obeys them”.
