Importance of Being Educated In Driving Protocols

As young adults in society who are going to be driving in the near future, we all have to keep in mind that we are not the only ones on the road and we need to keep everyone’s safety in check. Being educated in the driving protocols is very important because it can definitely help reduce the numbers of deaths, lessen the small accidents that are made through selfish acts, and it will allow the roads to be way safer and a better environment for drivers and pedestrians. For instance, in our past, we have witnessed or heard that individuals have passed due to someone crashing into them or through drunk driving. If every individual in society was to be educated in the importance of driving, the death rates would definitely decrease due to knowledge and common sense. To reduce the number of deaths, individuals really need to be serious about driving and have to understand the importance of assessing themselves first before stepping into a car. If you feel tired or drowsy, stay home so that you can keep everyone on the streets and yourself safe. Another thing we can do is to be patient. This might sound silly and cliche, but if we were to be more patient and understanding of others, it would make a huge difference when driving on the roads. As an individual who has been in a car accident, I can definitely say that it could’ve been prevented if the other side was more cautious and drove correctly. From my own experience, I can definitely say that if individuals were more educated and careful, these small incidents would not happen, and it would lessen the chances of people being injured or shaken up. For me personally, since I am already driving, some things I can do to protect myself and those around me is to always stay alert and be aware of my surroundings. If I am always staying alert and being aware of my surroundings and understanding what is going on, it can affect my behavior and actions and will cause me to be more careful and cautious of what is happening on the roads. Another thing that would help the driving community is to check myself first and see if I am well equipped to drive. To dive deeper into this point, if we check ourselves first and see how equipped we are to drive, it could possibly save lives. As an example, if someone were to be under the influence, and they were to drive, there is a high chance that that person could cause serious impact on other drivers or pedestrians. Assessing ourselves and having common sense is so important for society and will definitely make a difference in the roads. Overall, being educated in driving and being well versed in all the necessary protocols when driving is so beneficial and important because it can change so much, and it allows the driving community to be safe and under control.
