The importance of driver education is to give education and experience to inexperienced drivers; drivers that have been in trouble for their lack of efficacy while driving, and for those who simply lack the knowledge of safe driving. The importance of driver education is to teach those before they go out on the road; the safety of driving and others who drive. It helps young driver’s develop motor vehicle control and traffic maneuvers; and how to safely proceed through busy intersections during dangerous circumstances. For example, driving in severe heavy rain, driving through sleet, snow, and even heavy fog. Education to young drivers about this is given to avoid accidents that can be preventable and to reduce the number of motor-vehicle deaths. It is an education given to help drivers drive at night as well. The steps that can be taken to reduce driving related deaths are to obey the traffic laws. Don’t go through red lights, reduce your speed when the light turns yellow. Don’t try to speed through the yellow light just so you don’t get caught by the red light. Obey the speed limits. If you are driving in a school zone, please obey the 15 MPH speed limit. If you are in a 40 MPH zone, please obey and go 40 or below. Avoid distractions while driving. No texting and driving. No looking around while driving. Stay focused and be predictable. This cannot be stressed enough. DO NOT DRINK and DRIVE. Please get a ride home or to whatever destination you are going to. Drinking and driving is the leading cause of motor vehicle accidents that cause the most deaths. Catch a ride with a friend or catch the bus, train,, or an uber to get to your destination. And the last simple step, drive rested. Do not drive while tired, have a hangover, or anything else. Falling asleep at the wheel can also cause an accident and a potential death. If you have a disability, make sure you are cleared by a doctor before getting behind the wheel. And try not to sneeze while driving. For me personally, None of my friends and family have ever drove irresponsibly. And we have never been in a car accident. I have never been in a car accident. But we do find ourselves having to swerve out of the way to avoid accidents from other irresponsible drivers on the road. The steps that I can take to be a safer and better driver are to watch for the other person, be predictable, be well rested, have no distractions, obey the traffic laws, go the appropriate speed limit, and don’t drink and drive. Because you never know what can happen out on the road so you always want to predict the worse. And stay fully alert. Stay steer and clear, stay sober and drive responsibly. Actually drive like you have care for others.
