It is very important for drivers to have a proper education of driving on the road to not only keep them safe but as well as others on the road around them. Having that knowledge about the road and the rights and the wrongs, it can help the reduction of deaths of driving between adults and teens. However, not having that knowledge and the rules to remember, one mistake could cause severe damage or even death. 

The steps that could help the reduction of deaths in driving. One, always be aware of your surroundings, even when a car isn’t around or in your view always make sure because you never know. Two, follow traffic lights colors and rules to know when to go and not to go or even to make a turn. Three, don’t text a drive. This is the #1 problem in the cause of deaths while driving because something could happen instantly when you look at your phone. It is recommended that you either let the passenger do what needs to be done on the phone or wait until it is appropriate to go on the phone.

 I have experienced being in a car accident, I was with my dancer teacher and her daughter in the car, I was in the passenger seat and behind the car was one of our older dancers, she was following my teacher so she didn’t get lost. We we’re headed to our recital performance and our teacher had to be the first one there, I feel as though she may have done over the speed limit a few times but she was careful, randomly a car in front of us had stopped to turn and I think the dancer that was driving behind us wasn’t paying attention and rammed into the car I was in. However, it wasn’t bad, it was a light tap but it was still irresponsible and she should’ve payed attention.

As I stated before, always remember and study the rules of driving because everything needs to be remembered during any scenario. The steps I can take are being awake and aware at all times, specifically myself and other drivers around me mainly that seem to be irresponsibly driving on the road and aren’t being serious. It is important to get as far as you can away from the vehicle for your safety. 

Driving to me or for at least teens specifically, We have to take driver’s ed in order to drive and then drive with the instructor as well as having 50 hours of driving required before getting a provisional license. I believe that this is okay because it’s giving them time to be free to drive with a parent and getting used to the road and rules. Being safe is very important at this age because one small incident could lead to severe injuries or sadly.. Death. I don’t think any parent wants to get that call that their son or daughter is in the hospital or they passed away.
