How to be a safe driver

How to be a safe driver

Everyone I feel like needs to learn how to drive. With that being a safe driver is key. There are so many things that could go wrong on the road, someone’s car breaks down, you get a flat tire, or someone is not paying attention on the road. These are all situations that call for you to be a safe driver. Part of being a safe driver is paying attention to where you are at and your speed as well. The more you know about the safety precautions and your surroundings the better driver you can be.

There is a big need for more driver education. Some people just do enough to pass the driving test then never use what they learned again once they pass that test. But part of driver education is getting your permit. In most states you can get a permit at 15 and start driving in the state you live in. This gives good practice on the road and puts these learners in a good position practicing good driving habits.

I have come across many people who don’t have enough practice driving and they don’t care about the rules. This causes a bunch of careless people and many accidents to happen. If people would just take in some consideration about the rules we would have less accidents, less road rage, and fewer problems with people on the road. I love to drive. When other people take precautions as they should more and more people will like to drive or want to drive more.

When knowing the laws of driving you are set for the road, but along with that you need to know your personal limit. How far can you drive before it becomes dangerous. Can you drive on little sleep but still rested. Are you prone to have highway hypnosis on longer trips or shorter trips. These are all things you need to take into consideration when driving. Knowing these will save you and save others.

Driving can be a scary thing at first. You have to get accustomed to being in a vehicle, making lane changes correctly, following the speed limit, and being aware of your surroundings while still watching the road. I can name many times when I was paying attention to my surroundings and it saved my life. I have had eighteen wheelers come in my lane so far I had very little to move, people with faulty brake lights stop in front of me almost causing a wreck, and many other things. Knowing where you are at being familiar with many roads in your area can save your life and others.

I try to make it known that driving safely is a must. I have drive many places and seen many different drivers. For the most part everyone does a good job at driving. But there are some who just don’t care, we need to make it a point to make sure people who just don’t care know what’s at stake. Driving is a important thing to our country, we would not get near as many things accomplished without it so the more people know about driving safe and know the laws the better.
