Driver’s Inquiry

Driver education plays an impactful role in the driver’s safety. Drivers ed can teach many individuals about road safety such as the meaning of a sign or what to do in certain situations. Having people that are educated on how to drive and all of its responsibilities can ensure the reduction of deaths caused by driving. According to the HuffPost, the top two issues related to deaths or incidents with motor vehicles is distracted driving and drunk driving.

Distracted driving has become an issue as a multitude of factors has increased that may cause the driver to become distracted such as a smartphone. These distractions can cause injuries or deaths and the only way to help stop it could be to remove these distractions. These could be as simple as to turn off ringtones while driving as to not catch the attention of the driver which could lead to an injury.

As for drunk driving, becoming intoxicated or driving under the influence would be dangerous as it can lead to injuries due to not being in a good state of mind. While being intoxicated, everything may seem blurry or dizzy. In order to prevent this, it would be wise to not drink before you drive. However, this type of response is highly unlikely as the person would most likely indulge in the substance. If this is the way the person would like to go then a way to solve the problem would be to bring along a friend or someone who is unlikely to be under the influence to drive the person back home. If thats not possible, you could use a taxi-style service like Uber or Lyft to transport you back home safely. With this method of transportation, you wouldn’t have to worry about having a person or worry if you had too much to drink.

I personally don’t have any friends that indulge in this type of behavior nor any that drive currently for that matter. However, if I were to have friends like this then I would use the things that I described above for them and myself. I do remember though, my aunt would get into a car crash a multitude of times but oddly enough it was never her fault. Most of the time people would be distracted which would cause them to hit her. There was this one instance where a young pizza delivery guy wasn’t looking and caused a crash with my aunt. My sister was in that car and she ended up suffering from some minor back injuries. I would say that by having drivers ed people learn a lot about safe driving and they should be able to use that knowledge on the road. So the first step should be to go to drivers education classes and learn all there is to know about safe driving.
