Better Our Future Drivers

We all know that U.S.. driver fatalities on the road are higher than some U.S. wars. But what can increase the importance of driver education play on the number of deaths on the road. the drivers that become more educated have a better chance of not causing accidents on the road this would be due to the fact that they are more aware of situations and how to respond in these situations in a manner that would not harm them or anybody else around them. Another role that education plays is that educated drivers would be less likely to be distracted by other things while on the road like phones or any other electronic device that may inhibit their ability to concentrate on the road. Education is extremely important to reducing the number of deaths on the road. Some steps that could be taken to reduce the number of deaths while driving is educating people about distracted driving and driving High, and looking twice in mirrors before changing lanes. Educating people in distracted driving and telling them how long their eyes are off the road on average while they look at their phone and the impact of that in scenarios would be beneficial because it would show people the results of someone being distracted while driving. Another thing that we need to educate people on is driving high. A lot of people say “ so what, I’ll drive a little under the speed limit”. Driving under the speed limit can be just as dangerous as driving over the speed limit on the highway. In addition to these, tell people to look twice and save a life because a lot of people only look once and might not see the motorcyclist or a small car next to him when they merge lanes and can cause fatal accidents when doing so. All of these ways I believe are some of the highest priorities that we should take action on to help reduce deaths while driving.I have had my fair share of car rides with and without my parents one incident in particular strikes my mind. I was in an accident with my mom when I was younger and we were rear-ended at a stoplight. My mother was not acting doing anything irresponsible behind the wheel but the car behind this was the driver was on his phone and wasn’t paying attention and when you looked up it was too late to stop and they hitt us. This is a prime example of how distracted driving can be such a critical thing and the education of it can be so crucial and help alleviate accident rates and also death rates while driving. I believe there are a few ways I can become a better driver one. I think we all feel guilty to this every once in a while looking at our phones or talking on our phones while driving. While this issue might seem minuscule to some and not a big deal while driving, taking their eyes off the road for even a second can lead to fatal crashes. Additionally, not taking off from stops as hard and following speed limits sometimes can help not only prolong the life of the car and increase gas mileage but also help with me becoming a more careful driver. When all is said and done, there are multiple reasons for why the death rates and fatalities on the road are so high. It can be linked to several things and I strongly believe that we should educate people on these topics to help diminish the number of deaths on the road.
