In the Driver’s Seat
Before an individual is capable of commuting on the roads in a motor vehicle they are being prepared and studying through a drivers ed course. Someone who is studying hard from page one to the last page, keeping notes in the back of their head and passing the exam are more likely to succeed on the road as a smart driver. Throughout the course that most schools provide, the student is focusing on basic road skills and how to prevent an accidental event from occurring. The importance of having this education is simply to keep the learners thoughts into safe driving. Keep your eyes on the road at all times, know your surroundings, keep the phone down! , and always wear your seat belt.
As a driver, you will be able to realize driving is absolutely no joke. There is nothing fun about texting and driving, drunk driving, buzzed driving, etc. If you do research online, you may learn that most car accidents are caused from those actions. Steps to follow are to keep your phone away from you where you can not reach it, if you are planning on drinking give your keys to someone you can trust and maybe call an uber, friend, family or spend the night. Smart decisions will lead you into a successful life on the road. One little mistake can ruin your whole life in matters of seconds.
Personal life experience had to be my first week with my car. I was celebrating my 17th birthday going to the mall when some guy was texting and driving and hit me from the rear end. Now thank god it was nothing serious but this just shows his attention was more on his phone than the road which was not okay. There were luckily no damages nor injuries but they taught me to look more around the road and if i see any suspicious actions to avoid it to the best of my ability.
Being a mindful, safe driver will always keep accident and death rates low. Yes, accidents can happen, but most happen for the silliest , easy to prevent ways. For new drivers, and drivers who have experience, both should always keep in mind to stay safe at all times. Charges and criminal records come in effect and that is one thing you definitely don’t want happening. As a community, we all can prevent dangers on the road. For seat belts, make sure they’re secure correctly, make sure your airbags are good, make sure your car has no issues where it can affect your driving, keep the phone away from reach, and always keep known of your surroundings. Don’t trust no one else on the road but yourself, remember to use turn signals when needed to avoid collision and confusion as well.
