Driver’s Education Essay

Car accidents are always expected every single day. Whether it’s because someone ran past the red light, or it was a drunk driver. Everyone at some point in their life will be involved in a car accident. Most of these car accidents could’ve been prevented. Some people get into car accidents because they don’t all the rules of driving. That’s why driver’s education is very important.

In my state we are offered driver’s education. It has helped very much because I know more information about driving. I’m sure that if I didn’t get offered that class when I would be clueless. Leaning about driving and the different things we need to learn about on the road could benefit many people in the long run. People would have a bigger understanding of what is going on on the road. Taking a drivers class would give so much more information and would prevent a lot of car accidents from happening.

The amount of people that have died due to car accidents is more than how many American soldiers died from war in Iraq and Afghanistan together. Most of those lives could’ve been saved. There are many different steps to take so that car accidents don’t lead into tragedies. Like I said before, driver’s education is an important tool that everyone that drives could benefit from it. Also, if someone is drunk, they should not be driving. If you are drunk don’t ever drive because that’s how tragedies start; with someone drunk. If you get drunk and start driving, you could get stopped by a police officer and you could even get arrested because you are not allowed to drink and drive. People should really get informed with all the rules to driving. If everyone knew all the rules of driving there would be less accidents. Being informed with the rules could help reduce the number of accidents each year.

My dad is the most careless driver I’ve ever met. He has been in more accidents then I could count. I remember when I was a little kid, we were on our way to church and out of no where I hear a big poof sound. I didn’t know what it was at first and then my dad made my sisters and I get out of the car. I asked my dad what happened and he told me that he got into a car accident. That was my first ever car accident. I still remember it. My dad recently had to go to a driver’s class because of the amount of accidents he has been in. Now he is driving more carefully so nothing else could happen.

Getting into car accidents is no joke. Someone of those accidents could’ve been prevented. It’s common for someone even with a good record to get into a car accident. By taking a driver’s class and taking steps to improve your driving, it could totally benefit in the long run.
