A
few years ago, my brother was in a horrific accident while riding in
the passenger seat of his friend’s car and to this day he hates being
a passenger in any vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was very
irresponsible, and it makes me wonder what would have happened if he
had gone through proper drivers ed. Drivers ed is
important because it teaches the driver proper road skills and safety
procedures while behind the wheel. Several steps can be taken in
order to reduce the number of deaths related to driving. This
includes but is not limited wearing your seat belt, putting on your
signals, making sure you have both hands on the wheel and of course
going through proper drivers’ education. Whenever I am driving, I
make my passenger’s safety of the utmost importance. Every passenger
in my vehicle must always wear a seat belt and I always make sure I
am fully concentrated on the road. The road can be a dangerous place
and so it is essential to make sure that you and your passengers are
taking the necessary safety precautions. Your life is a very precious
thing that can be taken away in a heartbeat so don’t mess around with
it.
