It is always important to learn the necessary requirements and rules of the road. It will extremely prevent the number of deaths we see in the world today. Drivers ed is especially important because it will provide you with the skills and tools to be a successful driver. Not only for yourself but for other driver and pedestrians that are on the roads. Without drivers ed drivers will receive more traffic ticket or worst be involved in a fatal crash. There are a lot of ways to reduce the number of deaths related to driving. Never get behind the wheel of a vehicle if under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Always buckle up. Do not text and drive. If it cannot wait pull over and check. Do not put others and yourself in danger. Lastly, learn the correct knowledge of driving through drivers ed. I’ve never personally experienced someone being in a car accident, but I have close friends that have lost their loved one to reckless driving. One story that really touched me. A young girl only twenty-one, was driving with her son and mother. When a drunk driver hit them head on, killing her instantly. Now a son is forced to live life without his mother all because someone made a choice to drink and drunk. Forcing someone else to live with a mistake they didn’t commit to. The drunk driver careless choice took a mother from a child who life was just beginning. I’ll never understand and honestly don’t think I ever will. Take the steps to become a better driver would be to stop texting and driving. Stay focused, driving is always thinking. Being aware of your driving as well as other drivers. Simple things like road conditions, following directions, and obeying traffic laws. It’s very critical to stay focused on the roading while driving. Cutting out distractions will always help in being a better driver. Driving deserves your full attention, so please give it what its requiring. Going the speed limit, as simple as this may seem it’s the most broken traffic law on the road today. Speed limits are designed to help car accidents from occurring. Always stay alert. If driving long distance or if you’re finding yourself sleepy. Pull over and take a nap. Never put your life or someone else life at risk. Put the phones always. Make a driving playlist so that there is no need to scroll through songs. Most phones have driving mode. It may seem silly but turn the car mode on while driving it will limit your usage and help with wanting to look at your phone. If you are not actually hearing the phone going off. One careless choice can be life or death for someone else. You always hear someone say, “I wasn’t thinking”, when involved in accidents. It’s time to think! Educate, learn and apply all of what you learned in drivers ed to your driving skills.
