Blind Side
The roads can be driven on by anyone if they have access to a car
making the death toll for people driving higher than the total number
of American soldiers who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan combined.
The key to fixing the death toll is creating a generation who is
smart, educated, knows the risks of driving, and follows the rules.
It is not hard for someone with bad drivers ed to drive and it
is important that we make sure the younger generation learns the
importance of driving. We can learn from our mistakes from the past
and apply it to the future by having the next generation of drivers
take multiple drivers ed classes. Generation Z is full of
educated, degree seeking Americans making the streets higher
educated. I have had a friend who almost died in a car accident in
high school. He was in the passenger seat with no seatbelt and
another friend driving the car intoxicated. It did not end well for
Aiden in the passenger seat, he couldn’t remember anyone when he
woke up and it was sad to see someone you care about have no idea who
you are. Everyone in the high school was affected by this accident
and drinking and driving was seen as disgusting and disrespectful.
The steps to prevent this from happening again is honestly witnessing
an accident. The high school preforms an accident scene outside of
the school with the fire and police department. Watching the scene go
down helps others the younger generation see the importance of
driving education and drunk driving. This helps the younger
generation become more aware of what could happen if you get into a
car with a drunk driver or see others taking the risk.
