Drivers Ed Online
In The Driver’s Seat

Drivers Ed will save your life. We see car accidents around the world every day, due to careless driving and driving while under the influence. Responsibility is a key factor that a driver needs to be safe and successful. As a student taking Drivers Ed, it has taught me things that you would or wouldn’t know while driving on the road: defensive driving, DUI’s and DWI’s, and much more. It teaches you the importance of safe driving for yourself and others around you. In your lifetime you will have to buy a car, you will need to know how to buy a car, and insurance. As you know they don’t teach us these types of things in school, but Drivers Ed does! Taking drivers ed can, and will save a life, including yours because not everyone on the road knows the proper and safe way of driving. Driving isn’t just something handed to you, it’s a privilege. If everyone in the United States were to take drivers ed, before taking their drivers test, the percentages of deaths due to car accidents would decrease; more people would be educated and drive safer.
In addition, I have never been in or witnessed a car accident. However, I have seen many behaviors in the car that can be avoided, and that can lead to an accident. Such things are texting and driving, taking your eyes off the road, taking your hands off the wheel, and much more. This is called distracted driving, which puts yourself and others around you in danger. Although I haven’t been in or witnessed a car accident, I have had family members get hurt and die from it. It was about 10 years ago when I lost my first cousin to a car accident. My cousin had no seat belt on and was speeding. In many ways this is wrong and could have been avoided. That night showed my whole family why it’s important to be educated about driving and the consequences it can lead to.
Furthermore, you can see why a drivers ed is important. It will develop good driving habits and it will teach you how to safely operate a vehicle. I don’t want to see any more friends or family members die or get hurt from car accidents, do you? All you need to do is educate yourself and those around you. It’s not worth risking your life or someone else’s due to irresponsible driving. You will be grateful for having this knowledge and will become a safe and responsible driver.
