The Importance of Driver’s Safety
Driving a vehicle holds so much significance in the lifestyle of the average Average American Citizen. It is something we grow up seeing everywhere. When you finally master it’s techniques it becomes a right of passage that symbolizes maturity, responsibility, and freedom. However, sometimes the right to drive is taken for granted and if you’re not careful it can lead to endangering situations. When you get in the car as a new driver you are not only exposing yourself to a whole new world of liberty, but a whole new world of danger. When learning to drive you must take everything taught very seriously in order to prepare yourself for the dangerous and potentially life threatening world of driving.
Drivers ed is a staple when in the process of getting a drivers licence. It’s the key to knowing everything about the roads, and how to drive in different types of situations. If you don’t take Drivers Ed, you are 75% more likely to get a ticket, 24% more likely to be involved in a fatal accident, and 16% more likely to cause an accident. These statistics are not coincidental. Not taking Drivers ed can potentially be life threatening. Which is why it’s so important to not only take the course, but really absorb its intel. By taking Drivers Ed, you’re introducing yourself to the laws of the road, important safety precautions to take, and protocols to take in difficult situations. With this much knowledge you’re not only making the road a safer place for you, but for others as well.
The risk of hurting yourself or others is extremely high when driving, so it’s very important to take any and all safety precautions when on the road. Approximately 1.5 million people die per year as a result of driving. Not taking extreme safety measures can make anyone disposed to this very unfortunate fate. Some of the most important things you can do to become a safer driver, and eliminate deaths on the road is take Drivers ed. In addition, you can refrain from driving intoxicated, texting, listening to loud music, having distracting people and objects in the car, and make sure you and others in your vehicle are wearing seatbelts.
Unfortunately I have experienced a car accident while driving with my parents. We were involved in a hit and run and there was some damage done to our car but luckily we were all safe. Many do not experience the same luxury of safety that we did in that moment. When learning to drive you need to take everything seriously so that you become a safe driver on the road, and keep everyone else safe as well.
