The Responsibility of driving
The responsibility of driving
One thing I noticed when I read the previous essay submissions for this scholarship is how almost everyone either knew someone who was in a road accident or were themselves in a road accident. The truth is that it is common. Four of my relatives have been in a road accident, and one includes my father. He was hit by a speeding bus on his way home. Even though my dad is precise about driving, there was no way he could have prevented the accident.
With how much the development of automobiles has exponentially grown, vehicles seem more and more unfit for such common use. Driving has always been a strange idea to me. The fact that anyone can drive with access to control these heavy metal vehicles seems absurd and dangerous. Preparing for a driving test helps us gain more practice and driving licenses helps keep in check the people allowed to drive.
After getting a driver’s license, some people underestimate how easy it is to get into a car crash. But we can’t ban it altogether because, in the long run, the accessibility of transport had been a gift. Ambulances help the injured. We can get groceries to cook up a hot meal for a sick family member. People can get vital prescriptions from a pharmacy. That’s why investing time and effort into learning as much as we can about driving is important. And that’s why educating ourselves about the rules and regulations of driving is a necessity to everyone.
It is important for schools to teach students about the necessary safety tips. And It is healthy to have discussions about the responsibilities of driving. The goal is to make the best out of driving and to help others know about the required precautions.
