The Intricacy of Driving
The Intricacy of Driving
Driving a vehicle is quite complicated, as a driver is responsible for a lot of things. For one, a driver is responsible for understanding their vehicle, along with how it operates. Secondly, a driver is responsible for being present. While driving, a driver has to manage multiple things, like street signs, other drivers, weather conditions, and etc. Thus, when it comes to driving, a driver is responsible for their own mental state. Thirdly, a driver is responsible for understanding and learning the laws and regulations, that pertain to the area(s) they are driving in. Indeed, driving is far from simple. But, if a person would like to drive a vehicle, then they need to understand and accept the responsibilities that come with driving. After all, if people drive irresponsibly, then lives could be endangered.
In order to ensure the safety of drivers and civilians, its imperative societies are thorough with educating their potential drivers. Without a proper education, drivers could potentially threaten the lives of many. In order to reduce the number of deaths related to driving, I believe that is the first step. Personally, I don’t believe my experience with drivers ed was acceptable. During my time in class, the instructor wasn’t thorough with their lessons. In fact, for everything a driver is responsible for, I felt the course wasn’t rigorous enough. Therefore, I felt my classmates and I were inadequately trained/taught. Which, lead me to wonder, what is important to a society? Are societies more focused on the safety of their drivers and civilians, or are societies more focused about their economies? Personally, I believe societies are more aligned with the latter, as I feel societies lack patience, like there is a constant urgency to produce drivers. Which, I think is quite foolish and shortsighted. As with that logic, lives could be threatened.
Other than drivers ed, I feel societies can correct other issues, that jeopardize the lives of drivers and civilians. In order to reduce the number of deaths related to driving, societies should consider reconfiguring or reconstructing laws and regulations, that pertain to drivers. Also, societies should consider implementing more punishments for irresponsible drivers. When it comes to who or what I’m referring to, I’m mainly alluding to the process and treatment, involving drivers who receive DUI charges, cell phone tickets, as well as other violations. By doing this, there could be less irresponsible drivers.
Throughout my life, I have witnessed numerous irresponsible drivers, myself included. In order to ensure my safety, as well as the safety of other drivers and civilians, I can’t lose sight of my responsibilities as a driver. Thus, going forward, I plan to continue being mindful of my responsibilities. Also, in terms of other drivers, if I can help them in any way, I will do my best to assist them. In the end, it’s crucial drivers look out for one another, as well as civilians, in order to guarantee and preserve safety.
