Road, Safe Space

Driver’s
education is essential. On the other hand, some drivers don’t take
it seriously. It is necessary, so we could learn how to be safe on
the road. Most young people are very excited about the prospects of
getting to be new drivers but they don’t understand the duty that
comes with it. We learn how to be safe and better ourselves in very
many other areas in our lives for example our mental health and wind
up disregarding about being safe and better when driving. Driving is
not just about getting to your destination it’s about embracing the
wheel and taking responsibility for your own and others’ lives.

It
is important to obtain a driving education in order to gain knowledge
about road safety. In doing this you will be able to learn about the
rules and the signs of the road. This keeps you safe. Gaining
knowledge in this will help you learn to control road rage. So as
opposed to getting your outrage out on someone you basically assist
them with learning by mentioning to them what they are doing wrong
and advising them on how they could do better.

While
driving with friends is fun, it is essential to be exceptionally
cautious. My friends and I sometimes leave work together. One evening
on our way home, the driver got a phone call. She said it was
important and picked it. With no full concentration on the road, we
hit a pothole and ended up crashing into the vehicle in front of us.
We were all shocked and scared. One of our car tires was damaged. The
car in front of us got a cracked headlight. Both cars had scratches
and the driver had to pay the damages. Fortunately no one was hurt.
We should learn to put our phones down especially till we get to
where we need to be. When we are cautious we avoid fines,
imprisonment, and also there is less wear and tear on the vehicle,
hence reducing the maintenance cost.

I
yearn to make the world a better place and one of the places to start
is on the road. Being in the driver’s seat means looking out for
pedestrians as well. We can do this by observing and obeying the
traffic lights, being aware of your surroundings, checking the speed
limit, and overtaking only when necessary among others.

If
you drive safely then the next person to you is gonna do so, and so
forth. Learn to be careful and kind to every driver, including the
ones with aggressive behavior and also consider the pedestrians. We
spent a good amount of time commuting be it going to work, school,
hospital, or even traveling. So why not make the road a safe space
for everyone and be better drivers.
