Safer Driving
There are many deaths caused by distracted drivers happening every minute. It is very important for every single person to pay close attention to their drivers ed course, since these courses provide plenty of information of how to prevent people from getting distracted and causing a fatal accident. I took my drivers ed course and saw many things I had never believed happened all the time due to distracted drivers and it helped me pay close attention to the road and not cause a tragic accident. There are many ways to reduce the number of deaths due to driving. People should really just silence their phones and put them in a place where they won’t be distracted and also make sure that all their passengers are not being so loud in order for them to be able to concentrate more in the road, instead of paying attention to what’s going on in the vehicle. Also, when there is a party if someone drinks and thinks of driving someone should be the designated driver or help them get a taxi or uber in order for them to get home safe and not put anyone in danger in the road. If someone is having a bad day and is in a really bad mood, they shouldn’t be driving due to them wanting to let out their bad mood to other people who might be driving slower than they are. They might not be as much concentrated since they are in a bad mood. I have been in two car accidents when I was with my parents. The first car accident involved a drunk driver, when we were entering our neighborhood, we saw that the driver was going really fast and moving around. My dad tried to make the impact less tragic, but it was no use since my sister received most of the impact, since we got hit from the trunk of the car. The second car accident was a teenager who was on his phone and the impact was also from the trunk of the car fortunately no one got injured in this car accident, but our car got damaged and the teenager didn’t have insurance, so we had to pay everything. Due to these incidents that I’ve had I always put my phone away from me and on silent so that it won’t be a distraction. Also, before I start driving, I text or call my parents to tell them I will be driving, and they know I won’t answer any calls or messages. I always try to be cautious and drive at the speed limit I should be driving at.
