Driving Safety

In many cases there have been a series of people dying due to irresponsible drivers, about 34,000 people die each year as a result of driving. The importance of drivers ed is highly recommended because they teach safety measures and walk you threw the steps of being a safe driver. The whole purpose of the drivers ed is to educate the new drivers on how they are supposed to follow all the guidelines and rules in order to keep the roads safe furthermore, not to endanger others’ lives as well. Young drivers mostly around the ages of 16- 19 years old that just obtained their learners permit have not fully completed drivers ed there are about 75 percent more likely to get a traffic ticket. Studies have also showed from newsroom.unl.edu that almost 24 percent of drivers more likely to be involved in fatal or injury accidents when the 16 percent are just more than likely to just cause an accident all from not completing a drivers ed course.

The steps that should be taken to reinforce and reduce the related deaths is the restriction for the younger new drivers, and stronger regulation to make getting drivers ed courses mandatory. The more we crack down on the younger drivers that are new to the road and less experience it will reduce accidents along with other getting injury. We experience new things everyday so reinforcing new and old drivers to take a drivers ed course every 3 – 6months or it will result into revoke or having your license suspended. If any driver /non driver decide they will not take matters into their own hands and still be irresponsible driver’s without the proper credentials, then that would result into violation and will result into community services or probation of time to not receive their license back for one-year. The excessive amount of force and reinforcements to ensure that drivers ed will not be something to take lightly and be more seriously about everyone lives on road.

I have experienced a car accident before with my daughter, at the time my daughter was 6months old and I was driving a Tahoe GMC truck. The vehicle that hit me was a car van and it they had about 7 people inside the vehicle all them was drunk including the driver. The car van ran a stop and struck my Tahoe truck causing it spin around doing a 360 in a residential neighborhood with parked cars around, furthermore truck that I was driving was huge, so it spun around and didn’t touch any other cars. I was shaking up from it moreover, scared because my daughter car seat was flipping around as the truck twirling around. I did learn something in my drivers ed class that possible potentially help me keep a little control of the vehicle by keeping my foot on the brake. The steps that I could take to be a better driver, is to always be cautious at all times.
