Safety of Drivers ed

The importance of drivers ed in reducing the number of deaths is to understand the safety of when it comes to driving on the road. Drivers ed informs you on many things to be on the look out on the road and how to be a safe driver. Some things include switching or turning lanes carefully, how to pay attention to speed limits, and what not to do when driving. It is important to follow and make sure you understand because it can save someone life and yourself.

There are many steps that can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving. One step includes making sure you buckle up your seatbelt before driving. One of the major things that people do not do when getting in a car is having their seatbelt on. This is one of the major causes for death because without it, there is a chance you can fly out the car when in a car accident. Another step that can be taken is to not drink and drive nor’ consume any alcohol before driving. Drinking and driving is another cause of death because it causes the driver the drive at high speed, potentially crashing into someone, and not have any control as to where they are going.

Thankfully, I have not been involved in any type of car accident in my life. Also, I have seen my family members drive irresponsible on the road. However, recently a friend of mine and four of their close friends was in a very bad car accident the split the car into two. Sadly, my friend, who was the passenger in the front, and the driver was killed. Luckily, the other 3 passengers did survive and are currently in the hospital.

The steps I can take to be a better and safer driver and to help others become safer on the road is to always drive the speed limit given. Next, I will make sure my seatbelt is on and make sure other passengers that I have in the car also have their seatbelt on too before driving on the road. Another step I can take is to make sure I am not drinking under the influence at any time. If I am drinking, I would want my friends or the passengers to drive in my place or make sure that I am sober before going behind the steering wheel.
