Safe driving is very important

Driving is a power that is given to people very early in life for them to be able to get places freely. Since in the United States, people can start driving to school and work at 16, it is very important to have a good education, not only on how circulation works (street signs, street lights, etc.) but also when it is good for somebody to drive and when somebody shouldn’t do it. There could be some steps to be taken to reduce number of deaths like awareness of how many car crashes there are because of drunk driving and driving under the influence, also awareness of how over the counter drugs can affect you by making you drowsy, and finally awareness that sometimes you are not the only one you need to be aware of driving good, but sometimes you need to be paying attention to others and their driving, so you can react if something goes wrong.

I have actually been on an accident, and it was four years ago, and I was on the back seat and we were driving around town and they were showing me around and then suddenly, a lady hits us and we start spinning sideway into the middle of the road. We were lucky nobody else hit us while we were in the middle of the main road of the town. It happened to be that the lady that hit us was driving under the influence. Since then, I have been very aware of how important it is to drive sober and to be paying attention to everything. When someone drives high or drunk, they are not just putting themselves to risk, but also others.

For people to be safe on the road, I think there should be awareness signs on the roads, on TV and it should be educated from parents to children. Then, everybody should think not only of themselves, but other people when driving, because driving can be dangerous if it is not done safely. Finally, I think they shouldn’t give a license to just anybody and that there should be a second test that was only about safe driving.
