Drivers ed Initiative
I believe drivers ed is important in reducing the number of deaths as a result of drivers due to these reasons. Reason one, drivers ed is a step in the door for young kids. You take drivers ed in the beginning of high school and some children do not have parents who talk to them about important things like this and it has to be done all on its own. Many steps could be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving by taking your time driving and learning to drive correctly and most safely as possible. Also follow all driving laws. I’ve almost been in a car accident where it previously rained and I failed to negotiate a curve in the road. I had ran off the road and almost struck a tree, lucky i missed it by a foot or i would not be here. I had talked to the lady who lived at the house and she had said that it happens often. I’ve also had family and friends who drive irresponsibly and put me at risk of being in a car accident which would not be my fault. Many steps could be taken to be better and safer drivers on the road. Pay close attention to the road and eliminate distractions like phones and food. Or follow road laws and do not exceed the speed limits. You could also only use the roads you are comfortable with and avoid back roads which are windy and dangerous.And always keep your eyes on the road. It is always better to hit an animal rather than swerve and hit a tree or oncoming traffic.
