Learning how to drive is increasingly important. We have depended on driving vehicles for quite some time now to be able to get to our necessary destinations. When you turn that age and have access to a driver’s license, you now have a large responsibility on your hands. The incoming generations of drivers must be trained properly to understand the importance and responsibility of obtaining a driver’s license. This is especially important to prevent numerous fatal accidents throughout the world. They need the necessary training on how to operate the vehicle correctly and how to maneuver the vehicle throughout traffic. If these drivers don’t receive training from parents or a previously experienced driver, they can end up in situations they don’t know how to handle, which may end in an accident. For example, if the driver is attempting to merge into traffic, they need to know that their turning signal should be on, indicating the direction they wish to proceed, then they should look to be sure that there is enough space for you to get onto the directed road without getting hit by another driver. Once they do so they may proceed to merge on the correct lane. Without being told or having prior experience, driver’s may not have known how to merge, possibly resulting in a collision.

Distractions are another cause of accidents with drivers. With the rapid increase of new technology, the possible distractions while on the road have increased. When you are looking at your device while driving, there are a few seconds where your full attention is taken off the road. This can leave just enough time for you to not see the oncoming traffic or pedestrians which can result in an accident. I know most drivers think it’s harmless to look for only a few seconds, but a lot can happen in only a few seconds. I believe that making sure there are no distractions, like phones, music, other people being distractions, can help drivers minimize the possibility of getting into an accident.

I have been blessed to not have been in an accident or have had any friends or family in major accidents. We’ve all been very fortunate to be able to receive the proper training to drive safely and effectively. Our access to teachings of driving safely on the web and access to teachers/parents have made our driving safe.

My advice to become a safe driver would be to have a safe influence to teach you the details of the road, do some research for different states and see how the signs and driving rules are different, and pay close attention to your surroundings while you are driving. If you use all of these tactics while driving, you will be able to drive safely. As a driver, you may still make mistakes, but you will also learn from them. Nobody is a perfect driver, but with the proper guidance, you can become the safest driver you can be.
