Why Drivers Ed is Important?

Due to the fact that people drive everyday, we don’t really think
about how much of a risk it is to drive a car. In reality, there are
thousands of people who die each year from fatalities in highways. As
a result of this, we need to understand the importance of drivers
education in order to prevent any fatalities from car accidents.

One of the reasons why drivers ed is very important because
it helps beginners get prepared for any situation that can happen on
the road before they start driving. This allows teens to be more
precautious on the road when they are beginning to drive. Driver’s
education is also very important for adults or experienced drivers
because it shows people how to drive in specific weather conditions,
such as snow and heavy rain. Overall, the great importance of drivers
education should not be overlooked because it can provide a
significant improvement for a person who drives a vehicle.

One idea that could reduce the number of deaths related to driving is
to require drivers who cause accidents to take a drivers ed
course in order to help them improve their driving skills for the
next time they go on the road. Another idea would be to make the
consequence for reckless driving much worse so that drivers may be
more determined to drive safely.

There has been one time where I was in a car accident with my aunt,
my sister, and my two cousins. We were rear-ended by another driver,
who I assume, wasn’t paying attention to the road. Fortunately, we
were on a road with a low speed limit so the impact of the other car
didn’t result on any injuries. However, if the driver that crashed
into my aunt’s car took the right precautions and was more aware of
what was ahead of him, the accident could have been prevented. This
is another reason why drivers ed is important because it
reminds drivers to have more awareness on the road and to avoid any
distractions.

One thing that I can start doing today to make myself a better driver
is to drive with other drivers who are more experienced than I am. I
can ask them for feedback and how I can improve in certain areas of
driving. I could also influence other drivers to be safer by sharing
the knowledge that I learned from drivers ed. I can also
set an example for my passengers by displaying what I learned from
drivers ed on the road. In conclusion, drivers ed
can have a significant impact on reducing the number of deaths
related to driving. The number of fatalities from car accidents is
unacceptable and we all have to make an effort in reducing the number
of deaths related to driving.
