Your life is as important as the life of the drivers around you
Your life is as important as the life of the drivers around you
Taking Drivers Education can reduce the percentage of car crashes, accidents that cause injury or death, moving traffic violations and similar trends such as alcohol-related violations. This can be proved as 11.1% students who took Drivers ed were involved in a car crash, compared to 12.9% of those who chose to not take Drivers ed. Another example is how 10.4% students who took Drivers ed were ticketed for traffic violations, compared to 18.3% of those who chose to not take Drivers ed. As much as numbers are important to see how crucial it is for people to take Drivers education, the value to take Drivers ed can be shown in different ways. Children are taught and reminded of daily boundaries they should follow for their own safety. An example is how children are not allowed in the kitchen. Mothers will remind them of the dangers that the kitchen can bring them such as burns, cuts and such. If the kids are not reminded and taught of these limits that protect them, children would be put in serious risk of injury or death. Setting limits for children in kitchens, is as valuable as people taking Drivers Education. If a driver is not taught the different limits of speed depending on the road, they will be more likely to break such rules because they were not taught the dangers of doing so. If a driver is not taught the importance of the space they should take between the front driver, it is more likely they will not be able to stop in time if the driver in front makes an unexpected stop. Taking Drivers Education is not only key for one’s safety but it can protect other lives too.
Other steps that can be taken besides going to Drivers ed to reduce the numbers of deaths related to driving are developing the right attitude about driving, getting as much supervised practice as possible, always wearing your safety belt, not driving under any influence, training for poor weather conditions and to remind yourself that cellphones are for emergency only on the road. Developing a right attitude for driving can help maintain you and others safe because of its commitment to drive responsibly every time you are in charge of the wheel. Getting supervised practice with adults who drive responsibly on the road can help you notice mistakes and learn how to correct them such as other details. Wearing your seatbelt and making sure the other passengers do too is like life insurance as it can prevent and lessen the damage in an accident. Driving under an influence can damage your critical thinking for driving, which is a major cause of accidents on the road, and it will not only affect you, it can affect the other passenger involved in the accident. Training for poor weather with an experienced driver can help you avoid mistakes and learn important details on how to avoid accidents in poor weather. Maintaining the reminder to use cell phones only for emergencies can help you focus only on the road as distractions such as electronic devices can result in fatalities.
Fortunately I have only been involved in minor accidents until this point of my life. It is one thing that I am grateful for daily because car accidents cannot only cause the loss of a loved one but irreversible damage too mentally and physically. Most of these minor accidents were caused by other drives by not maintaining distance or not following signs or road rules. If you get distracted only for one second it can change your life completely and for others too. That is why it is really important to focus and pay attention to your surroundings and your driving management to be able to avoid minor or major accidents from happening.
Throughout this essay it’s explained in numbers and logical thinking on how to drive safely and what to avoid doing to make driving experiences as safe as possible. To ensure a secure driving experience i will maintain my distance from cars in front of me, i will drive at the speed limit, not drive under any influence, follow word by word signs that warn me of when to stop or if there is construction ahead of me, wear my seatbelt and insure myself of driving under supervising until i feel comfortable and experienced enough to ensure myself and others of a prudent driving experience. I will take this essay as a reminder to myself on what steps to take to drive safely for my own good and for others. I can help others have a safer driving experience by telling them the importance of taking a drivers education. I can help them by paying attention to their driving to ensure myself and the other to avoid mistakes and help them learn the correct way of doing such things. I can help them by stopping them from driving under the influence and rather take an uber and if i’m in good conditions i could take them to their destiny. Last but not least being up to date of new rules in your state and informing others of such is important to keep yourself and others safe. I conclude this essay by reminding me and the ones who are reading this that these are just a few steps of many to ensure a safe drive, and that one of the most important things that I hope you take away from this essay is that your life is as important as the life of the drivers around you.
