Throughout our highschool lives, we experience an abundance of milestones. Many might win their first basketball game. Some may have their first art show. We all have our own milestones that will shape the rest of our lives. It will determine what we are interested in. It will encourage us to do what we love. One particular milestone we reach is turning sixteen. Although everyone experiences their own milestones, there is one milestone in particular that most of everyone can relate too. The age sixteen is the age of driver’s license. It’s the day that every teenager can’t wait for. They are proud of their license. They reached an important step in their lives. Although driving is a great privilege, it can be dangerous if the driver is not properly educated. Most teenagers do not take the appropriate time to educate themselves on driving dangers. The number of 2,400 teens deaths resulted in car accidents in 2019. A number of 1.3 million people in total die in car accidents each year. There are many precautions and steps that can be taught at a young age to prevent deaths. Driver education classes should be mandatory. It is important for schools to teach driver education thoroughly. It’s also important to preach the dangers of texting and driving. There are 400 fatal crashes a year caused by texting while driving. Your health also has a great impact on safe driving. Drivers getting their eyes checked before getting behind the wheel can prevent car accidents. Another common danger is driving while under the influence. Drinking while driving is extremely dangerous to not only the driver , but everyone on the road. It is a serious matter , and is common with teens. It is important to do all we can to prevent deaths. Driver’s education is valuable to save lives. When teaching teens about the dangers of driving, they have a more guaranteed chance of future milestones. Without the drivers being educated, Their most treasured high school milestone could be their last.

Firstly, driver education can make a huge difference in the knowledge of young drivers. One subject that should be taught is the dangers of texting and driving. Texting while driving is extremely common. Not only is texting while driving dangerous to the driver, it’s also dangerous to other citizens on the road. Texting while driving can change someone’s life in a blink of an eye. Studies show that the group of people most likely to text and drive are those who are under the age of 25. This is why it’s important to teach the dangers of texting while driving at a young age. It’s important for teens to know how fast a life can be taken away. One text message can be your last without ever knowing. It can harm yourself and others in the process.

It is very important to be in the right state or health before getting behind the wheel. Drivers should be taught to make sure their eyesight is healthy before driving. This simple task can save many lives. Studies show that bad vision caused 60% of car accidents. It’s important for drivers to go to the eye doctor to check their eye health. Not only is this beneficial for the driver them self, it’s also beneficial for everyone on the road.

A person every 52 minutes die. This makes driving extremely dangerous for all ages. It is important to preach the consequences of driving under the influence. Not only should teenagers learn this in school, adults should also be educated. Like students, adults can listen to speakers about the dangers of driving under the influence through their job. It is important to teach people of all ages about the dangers of driving under the influence. This can save lives and prevent car accidents.

In conclusion, mandatory drivers ed, teachings of drinking while driving, teachings of texting and driving, and the importance of going to an eye doctor before driving full time is important to road safety. The number of deaths caused by car accidents is too high. It is important for us to take extra precautions to ensure the safety of everyone on the road.
