“No Time Left”

The cell phone number of the person who drives a car should be the same as their driver’s license number, so when they become preoccupied while driving, the police can contact them directly. If the driver does not pay attention while driving, they may miss relevant roadside indications such as upcoming dangers, nearby drivers’ communications, and changed traffic lights. The driver will be unable to make reasonable and adequate driving choices without this understanding. Since the life of each passenger is in the hands of the driver, the driver must constantly keep them safe while driving.

The goal of driver education is to provide individuals with the understanding, capabilities, and mindsets necessary for traffic safety as a driver and as a pedestrian. Accident rates and traffic violations among new drivers are reduced when new drivers receive driving education. New drivers who have not undergone “…driver’s education are 75 percent more likely to get a traffic ticket, 24 percent more likely to be involved in a fatal or injury accident, and 16 percent more likely to have an accident, the study showed…” (Lincoln 22). Driver education is essential for preventing massive vehicle accidents as well as future road deaths. As a matter of fact, basic efforts can be done to decrease the potential dangers that drivers face. The most prominent factors are to follow the laws of the road, to be predictable, to avoid distractions, to drive refreshed, and to avoid alcohol and drugs. If the driver follows this advice, they will contribute to creating safer roads for everyone. This may not apply to everyone, but some people have at least one person who they are close to whom have suffered due to irresponsible driving.

Consequently, even I have watched someone close to me suffer through a tragic event because of careless driving. The person who suffered was my older friend, her name is Diana, she is 26 years old. Six or so years ago, she was not accepted to her dream colleges, even so, she kept trying and applying to multiple but kept getting rejected. Her mental state continued to deteriorate because of her college rejection. When her friends saw her disappointment, they wanted to cheer her up. Therefore, they gave her a surprise party for her to revive her mental state. Their intentions were purely good, but it had gone wrong. When they did the party, they took her by surprise, because she never thought that they would ever do this. After the surprise party, they all went for a drive. At first, they were all following the laws on the road and paying attention to the things that needed to be paid attention to while also having fun. But after an hour and a half on the road, they started to be a little irresponsible, by going over the speed limit. That was how they started it, Diana of course was against it, but her friend kept persuading her. The way she reacted to them and agreed was because they said things like “you are not going to live forever, do it now or never”, and many other things. This is where things went bad, they started driving through yellow then went to red lights. Even though the car was in 2 different cars, they all still managed to get caught up in a car crash. They were all hurt and suffered trauma from their reckless and irresponsible driving. But thankfully they all made a miracle recovery and were taught a lesson. The lesson was on why they should always obey the laws of the road, follow traffic lights, and drive within the speed limit. Additionally, the competence to balance your emotions and distress is one of many aspects of being safe on the road. On the same concept about emotions, some drivers are unable to manage stress. This feeling may hurt one’s capacity to drive properly and guarantee road safety. When a car is driving irresponsibly and following too closely, the best thing to do is to avoid a collision and to slow down to let them pass. Allow the driver to pass without interfering. Accidents can be avoided if the driver keeps their surroundings in mind. While driving, distractions such as cell phones, radios, and newspapers are typical. If the driver needs to use their phone, they have to make sure they have their hands free. When driving a car, never try to comprehend or navigate a map. This might result in you breaking the law or injuring a pedestrian.

To keep the life of all passengers safe, the driver should always make wise decisions. Driving improves a person’s effectiveness, accountability, and technical understanding. Rather than being practiced in the driving field, these abilities are an element of a person’s daily life. They help in the creation of trust and the establishment of good relationships with others. Thus, everyone should learn to drive, by going to drivers Ed. People who are of acceptable age to attend drivers’ school are encouraged to do so; there isn’t much time left.
