Proper driving education is very important to those who drive vehicles daily. You need to be fully focused and make sure your eyes are always on the road. Almost everyone nowadays owns a phone, I myself am an owner to one and I’m constantly on it. We just have an automatic desire to always be on our phones; whether it’s scrolling through social media, texting friends, or any other activities one does, everyone is alway on their phones. I currently do not drive, but I do practice with my family members and when I do I make sure my phone is out of reach for me. There have been times when I have seen other fellow drivers on the road and they are using their phone; at times like this I immediately remind myself that I shouldn’t be so careless to do such an action.

Another big distraction that has left people in hospitals is drinking and driving. This is a serious issue that has physically and emotionally damaged countless amounts of people. It is beyond careless to be intoxicated while behind the wheel of a car. It never ends well for anyone, in the end it could involve multiple people in pain. It is important to make sure you have a designated driver who will take you home safely with no issues. This is one of the best solutions to avoid the antics of drunk drivers. Today, there are multiple ways to have a designated driver assigned to you. There are apps like Uber, Lyft, and many more that allow you to contact a sober person whose job is to get you safely to wherever you need to go. Apps like these or even contacting a friend to drive you home can help stop countless deaths happening today on the road.

I personally have experienced being in a car accident. My family and I were coming back from visiting my grandma who lived in a city about half an hour away. It was night time when we decided to get going. Mind you it was also raining extremely hard and my dad had to drive on the freeway in order to get home. Since the rain was a big inconvenience that no one expected my dad made sure to drive cautious for my family’s safety. Soon, out of nowhere a car abruptly crashed into our car. We had been hit and ended up on the side of the free way. It was a very scary incident that I had to witness. Thankfully no one was injured and the only damage done was to the vehicles. I wish it upon no one to ever have to experience something as terrifying as this incident.

Proper driving education is important not only to yourself but also to those around you. It is too selfish of people to make decisions like texting or consumption of alcohol while driving. Not only are you putting your life in danger but you are also causing the other drivers around you high immense of harm. You are putting this huge inconvenience onto them with no context. For this reason, it is important to avoid all possible distractions while driving to avoid death situations on the road. Driving safely is an easy task that everyone is capable of doing.
