Drive with Caution or It’s Repercussion

In this paper I’ll be explaining 4 components of how you should drive to reduce death related accidents. The first one is the importance of driver education to reduce the result of deaths due to driving. Next, is the steps taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving. Following that I will slightly depict situations I was in such as accidents or driving irresponsible. Last but not least, steps that can help you be a safer driver or as well as help others become safer on the road.To jump right into it, what I call the importance of driver education is Amazon Flex. As a delivery driver for Amazon I had to drive a box truck that reported everything a driver does while operating the vehicle. So I had to pay attention to how I turn corners, speed limit, reversing, and also how I come to a stop. Was it out of control or steady? Keep in mind I had boxes in my truck so if I’m out of control, my boxes are flying everywhere. With that being said, if everybody drove like they had junk in their trunk, maybe they wouldn’t drive causing accidents that’s making people lose their life.

On the other hand, alcohol take-in while driving would reduce the number of deaths relating to driving. Oftentimes drugs contribute to most DUIs that result in a car accident as well. I had one open bottle container case and never got one again. People push the gas as they are behind the wheel to sometimes drive their self esteem off not realizing that they are putting theirselfs at harm risk especially while under the influence. So the risk of transporting drugs while police are patrolling affects the environment’s safety. From my previous experience I learned to always follow rules and regulations while driving. Do you really want to be looking over your shoulder everywhere you drive?

While driving in the streets of Cleveland, I was in some accidents. In one accident, on a snowy day, I had to choose a pole or a car. I chose the pole because I didn’t want to get another person or family involved, but this all could have been prevented if I was going the speed limit. On the other hand I was in an accident that involved three cars. I was at a stop sign in between two cars and the rear car ran me into the front car. We all got out of our cars and exchanged words about each other’s cars and got contacts so if anything went wrong, we could reach out to each other. I also was with people that were driving irresponsibly. When I noticed that they were either too impaired with drugs or Not paying attention to the road, I simply asked, “Do you want me to drive?”. If they said no, I will just be talkative until we get to our destination. When I say talkative I mean, making sure they are in their lane and looking at the road and not me. I do this just for the driver and my safety, so I’ll be able to tell a “Ride Along” story like Kevin Hart and not a story that was never told if you get my drift.

The biggest step to becoming a better and safer driver is to keep up with your vehicle. Every car needs it’s TLC (Time Loving Care) and if you keep up with that, you’re on top of your game. It’s really a scary feeling when you know something is about to break on your car while driving it. For instance, my car brakes went out while driving and I quickly had to find a way to stop without running into something. Certain but not least, you do need your license and insurance to be clear for the road. Having all this in line will also help other drivers be safer because You will have no doubt about your car safety. That being said, if you get in an accident, your insurance will cover expenses if it was your fault or not.

To sum it all up, pay attention to your surroundings so you are aware of any problems that can happen. When learning how to drive, you should listen to the elder driver for tips in dangerous situations. You don’t ever want to panic behind the wheel because that can lead to a disaster. Also, know your car especially, if it’s used because you have to make up for the flaws it comes with. I promise you, after reading this it will build your confidence before pushing the pedal to the medal.
