Problem Drivers Need Driver’s Education

Driver’s education is important for the prevention of serious accidents, even deaths. Driver’s education teaches a person, especially a student in high school, the mechanical of a vehicle and the rules on the roads. Some young drivers can be over confident and they really think they are experienced drivers after being taught some driving on the roads by their parents. I was a student in high school not long ago and you can’t tell some young drivers nothing about driving. That is the reason why driver’s education is so important for young drivers because most parents that teach their children don’t teach all the mechanical of a vehicle and the rules on the roads. There are so many teenagers that are reckless drivers and they are having serious accidents because of over confident behind the driver wheel of a car. Having classes with a professional educate potential drivers about the risks and consequences of reckless driving on the roads.

I believe a person needs driver’s education to learn how to start the engine and engage the gears properly. You just can’t take off in a car without knowing how to properly drive it. My mother and I was hit by a young inexperienced driver before getting out of our car parked at a store. He didn’t know how to turn the car wheels in the right directions, whether a right or left turn of the steering wheel. The young passenger in the car with him said he friend didn’t know how to drive a car. That young man needed a driver;s education class before getting behind the wheel of a car. He was over confident of being a good driver.

I believe driving requires your full attention at all times. There are so many steps a driver can take that can reduce the number of deaths we have on our roads or highways today. One step is don’t text and drive while driving. This can happen to teens as well as adults, texting and driving. I don’t do this at all because I wait till I reach my destination before texting or I just pull over to a place where I can reach the person that texted me. I try to stay focused on driving at all times and my attention is on other drivers. My driving instructor taught me to keep my eyes on the road at all times and hands on the steering wheel. He also taught me as a teenager safety to avoid accidents. He said be careful of drivers around your while your drive. There is so much road rage today. I will not indulge in road rage with another driver because it can take an ugly turn like the loss of your life. The driving classes taught me another step while driving and that is not to tail another car in front of me. Always maintain a safe distance so that you can stop in time. I try not to be in a hurry when leaving my house while driving. A driver should give themselves time before going to a destination of choice.

I try not to pass the speed limit that is set by our law. I learned that in driver’s education as a teenager. So many drivers on the roads do that and that has cause many accidents, even deaths. I have so heavy foot friends while driving and I tell them to abide by the speed limit. I remind them of what we learned in driver’s education that we took after school together. My friends to wear seat belts while driving and they do check the mirrors on their cars while I am riding with them. I know these new cars today have adjusted mirrors that stay in place, however, they still need to be checked before your get on a fast freeway. I have a fast driving uncle who think he is more experience at driving a car than the professionals at the driver’s education building. He was involved in a serious accidents not long ago because of his talking on his cell phone. A man hit my car at a red light before I could make a right turn onto another road because of talking on a cell phone. It was not serious, but it was caused by a bad driver. I don’t know how many times I have been driving down the roads when I see someone do something stupid in a car that cause an accident. They either pull out in front of another driver or tail gate another driver from behind.

Most of us think we are experienced drivers and say I didn’t have a driver’s education class. They are so wrong thinking that. Driver’s education is for all ages. We have so many people coming from foreign countries that don’t know our rules and laws about driving in this country. The first thing that some of them want to do is drive a car. Driving is different in every country and they need to take an adult driver’s education class. Those adult classes are for some of our older American drivers. They need more training that maybe they forgot some of the safety rules of driving a car. All ot those rules that we learned in driving school taught can help them to avoid dangerous situations that are on our roads and highways . Our roads today are full with all types of drivers, old ones and young ones. I was taught how the be an ideal driver by a wonderful instructor in driving class. I try to obey all law on the roads. The accident I had last year was not my fault. I was due to a careless drive that needed to be educated again about steps on how to be a good driver. Driving a car is not an easy task. My mother taught me going up that cars can kill you if you don’t drive them safely. There are skills to learn to drive properly. Most people have gone to professional driving schools and have enjoyed the results. I enjoyed the results in high school. Beginner drivers and Bad drivers need to take driving classes from a professional. There are too many driving schools today near every community. Driving schools put your mind at ease and let your concentrate on the roads and drive by the rule of law. The instructors at the driving school I attended help me with passing the driving test. Maybe at the end of my essay I am persuading young and old drivers to be educated more on being a good driver by taking driver’s education if needed from a professional. I don’t mean to write a persuasive essay about driving. However, car accidents are real and there are so many bad accidents today on our road that are killing families or taking mom and dad away from their kids. Driver’s education with the professionals helped me and some of my buddies.
