Driving is a serious responsibility with mental and physical abilities impacting the driver. There’s more to driving than just knowing how to put your foot on the gas pedal and how to use the brake pedal. Driving is best when you know how to drive according to laws and regulations. Driving is a skill earned with much practice. It is also very important to drive with regards to the safety of others. The best way to be safe is to be generous, let others go before you.

Driver Education is crucial in reducing the number of deaths as a result of driving. It prepares and educates drivers on what to expect on the roads and educates drivers on defense driving. Knowing what you are doing is the most important part of doing something. In order to reduce the number of deaths by driving, drivers should learn to keep their distance, follow the law, avoid dangerous situations when driving, not get distracted, not drive under the influence, and most of all STAY OFF THE PHONE. Distracted driving is one of the most dangerous and deadly causes of accidents. Being on the phone while driving doesn’t seem like a big deal but within seconds many lives can be taken. Another really important action in preventing driving accidents is keeping your car up to date on maintenance. Over 3,400 accidents that occur in Texas yearly are due to impaired visibility. Those accidents could be prevented if bulbs were kept lit, worn out wipers were replaced, and windows and mirrors were clear of obstruction. I have personally been in a car accident where an 18 wheeler swerved and pushed the vehicle I was in and rolled us into the large ditch on the side of the road. That could have been prevented if the driver was not on his phone. To be a better and safer driver, I can follow the law, stay off my phone, and drive defensively, as well as stay out of dangerous situations. Drivers education may seem boring and pointless but even the little things like making sure you wear your seatbelt or your glasses can be life-saving for you or somebody else. Death by driving is one of the biggest causes of death in the US and many of those situations could’ve been prevented by small things that didn’t seem as important at the time or just needing to have more education on driving. safety is the number one priority and staying away from a hazardous situation on the road can save you or others from a lot of harm. another important part of driving that a lot of people don’t think about is whether because it is unexpected and can take a huge toll on driving, such as rain, snow or lightning. Rain can make the roads slick as well as make it dark in harder to see, foggy, or wind can affect trees, and other objects around you. Not only is it important to be educated on driving, but also your vehicle, and the way it works, and to be aware that you are in a very large automobile that has a lot of control over your life when you are in it. Driver should be educated on this not to scare them, but to make them aware of what they are getting into when driving. no matter what we do they will still be drivers in the world. They just aren’t good at driving, don’t follow the law, or aggressive, don’t pay attention, or just someone thinking they’re making one small mistake. Either way it is always important to know how to drive defensively and not just know how to work a vehicle. It is very important to know how the road around you works but also to always have a way to know what to do if things did go wrong. Another important element in driving is making sure you are fully awake and aware like not being under the influence or that you had plenty of sleep. Driving is a privilege that a lot of people abuse. every driver should be educated and be made aware regularly on how big of a factor driving is in the safety of you and others. drivers education and tests are taken to prevent the driver or anyone else or from an accident that can cause lifelong injury to them or others. having such a big responsibility, when driving is exactly why a few days worth of drivers education can save several lives, and should be taken seriously.
